Senior User Experience Designer
As a Senior User Experience Designer at OXD, Hitomi helps lead and deliver citizen-centred government services, transform the way organizations work, and design value-creating experiences. In her career, she has realized the need for tools that help people with language barriers—leading to the creation of her Inclusive Co-design Toolkit—which she presented to a diverse audience at the 2019 Service Design Global Conference. She also won the EyeforPharma Most Valuable Patient Initiative award in 2017.
Before joining the OXD User Experience team, Hitomi worked as a Service Designer and Customer Experience Strategist discovering user insights to improve healthcare, public transportation, and technology services.
Hitomi is currently pursuing her second master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counselling to bolster her user engagement skills. In her leisure time, Hitomi loves to explore the local food scene—she even bakes her own sourdough. Hitomi is also an avid world traveler.
