Leon Hui
Senior User Experience and Service Designer
As a Senior User Experience and Service Designer, Leon Hui plays a key role in identifying systemic elements of services to understand and design digital touchpoints that meet users' needs.
Before joining OXD's User Experience team, Leon served as the digital customer experience lead at TransLink and conducted design strategy and service design for private and public sector clients through leading agencies in British Columbia. His previous experience includes website design at major Canadian companies such as Yahoo!, Indigo, and Hudson's Bay Company.
Leon holds an Honours Bachelor of Design degree from the York University and Sheridan College Joint Program. With fifteen years of dedication to user-centred design and experience in both agency and in-house settings, he leverages modern technology, design, and research to create equitable and accessible services for clients and their users. Leon is a professional member of the Service Design Network and is a Certified SAFe 6 Agile Product Manager.
Born in Hong Kong, Leon moved to Toronto as a child, but his love for the outdoors inspired his subsequent move to Vancouver. In his spare time, he enjoys cycling, hiking, skiing, and kayaking. Leon also practices martial arts and, in his own words, "embarrasses himself trying to learn to dance." A language enthusiast, Leon speaks Cantonese and Korean and taught English in Korea for two years. He has also recently rekindled his passion for painting, setting a goal to create artwork his wife will want to keep!
