Mandy Leung

UX and Service Designer

Mandy is a Service Designer at OXD with over six years of experience designing services that are equitable, accessible, and human-centred across both digital and in-person channels. She starts by understanding the goals and needs of the people she's designing for, then uses that research and data to improve services and make them more useful for the people who rely on them.

Before joining OXD, Mandy worked as a data strategist on the talent intelligence team at Newmont, a leading global sustainable gold mining company. At OXD, her work has grown to include projects with the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA), where she helped shape a patient-centred cancer journey. She’s also taken on two engagements with the BC Ministry of Energy and Climate Solutions: researching the Home Energy Labelling space and building an Energy Savings Program application system that helps British Columbians apply for rebates when they make energy upgrades to their homes.

Mandy holds a bachelor's degree in business and law and a postgraduate diploma in user experience design. Her academic background, along with her data-driven mindset and experience in scaled agile delivery, helps her find the root of a problem and design practical, human-centred solutions.

Mandy moved to Vancouver from Ireland in 2023 and quickly fell in love with British Columbia's nature and outdoors. When she is not running, biking, or exploring the mountains she’s likely to be found in the kitchen, cooking up a storm.
