We respect your privacy. Please read on to learn more about the information that is collected on our site, how its stored, and what its used for.

All mentions of OXD, we, and us refers to OXD Consulting Ltd. OXD’s privacy policy meets, and the five stipulations of the Web Analyst’s Code of Ethics and complies with both GDPR and CASL guidelines. This privacy policy is updated to reflect best practices and evolving laws. We strive to uphold the highest standards when it comes to use of personal information and website management.

An overview

  • We use third party tools to track our site’s performance.
  • We do not collect any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) without consent.
  • We don’t sell our contact lists to anybody, for any reason, ever.
  • We use cookies, but visitors are welcome to opt-out at any time.
  • We collect email address only when they are provided and are CASL-compliant

Log files

Our web server logs all requests including IP address, browser type, referring page, platform, file accessed, and date/time information. We use this log data to troubleshoot issues on the site. We don’t collect Personally Identifiable Information (PII) within these log files. If you want to avoid this data collection, we encourage you to use a proxy or anonymizer service to view this site.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to track the performance of site and improve the user experience. Google Analytics uses persistent cookies to track visitor sessions, visitors across multiple sessions, and referral sources to our site. In addition to standard Google Analytics data capture, we also track click events (e.g. the use of our homepage news carousel and clicks on offsite links). We also track the performance of promotional links to our site using Google Analytics. We always comply with the Google Analytics Terms of Service and do not ever pass Personally Identifiable Information (PII) to Google Analytics. Google Analytics stores its data within the United States of America and is subject to US laws. To opt out of Google Analytics data collection please use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

HubSpot

We use HubSpot to track and generate leads and to create and share marketing and sales emails. This includes Commercial Electronic Messages (CEM) sent by OXD and offers to download content from oxd.com. Information submitted at the time of subscription is stored in HubSpot’s servers. Like Google Analytics, HubSpot uses cookies to track how people use and move through our website, as well as how they interact with our Commercial Electronic Messages (CEM). This data may be linked to your record in HubSpot’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system

Cookies

We use cookies to collect data. These files contain anonymous identifiers and are sent from a website and stored on your device. We use cookies to:

  • Personalize the user experience of our site provide customized advertisements, content, and information;
  • monitor and analyze the effectiveness of Services and third party marketing activities;
  • and monitor aggregate site usage metrics such as total number of visitors and pages viewed.

If you wish to limit the automatic collection of certain information by our site cookies can be disabled using your browser options or by installing a third party cookie blocker, such as Ghostery. It’s possible that doing so may prevent you from using specific features on our site.

Email and contact information

If and when visitors choose to subscribe to our newsletter, we collect their email addresses. We follow the Canadian Anti Spam Legislation (CASL) protocols and collect email addresses only when people have provided explicit consent through the double opt in process. As per CASL we also send Commercial Electronic Messages (CEM) to clients and people we have business relationships with. In these instances we have implied consent. We keep records of when people were subscribed to our lists and people can unsubscribe at any time.

Providing information to third parties

We do not sell our contact lists or client information to third parties for any reason, ever.

Third party sites

Our site contains links to other resources on the web. We can’t offer any warranty for those sites as they are governed by their own privacy policies. If you submit information to any third part site, your information will be governed by their privacy policy, not ours. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any website you visit.

Minors

We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. Our website and our services, though not explicit in any way, are directed at people over the age of 18. If we discover that we have unknowingly collected information from a minor we will take steps to delete it. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact our Privacy Officer at privacy@oxd.com

Client engagements

This Privacy Policy does not apply to client engagements. Personal information collected during a client engagement is covered by specific engagement contracts.
