Ayumi completed an Art and Design degree at the Musashino Art University in Japan. While working as a graphic designer she also became interested in programming. She went on to study at Cornerstone International Community College of Canada to learn Web Development. From there, Ayumi made a career change to software development. She also volunteers doing web design for Project iRISE, a non-profit organization that helps empower human trafficking survivors.
In her free time, Ayumi loves hiking and has a goal to complete the Grouse Grind in the near future. When she’s not enjoying the outdoors, she likes browsing through the many thrift shops in the area and watching stand-up comedy.
