UBC, OXD, and Island Health win dotCOMM Awards

The dotCOMM Awards is an international competition that recognizes excellence and creativity in digital communication. Entries from around the world are evaluated by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP), one of the biggest and most respected evaluators of creative work in the marketing and communications industry.

The UBC Rapid Transit website won Platinum in the Informational Website category. The site features  illustration, infographics, and a refreshed colour palette. The illustration and infographics tell the rider story, making it easier for audiences to digest the content. The colours are consistent with UBC’s brand, while also introducing green to signal the project’s sustainability.

Island Health’s redesigned website won Gold in the Health & Wellness category. This project focused on improving the patient experience online. We designed a welcoming website that strives to offer cultural safety and a strong visual connection to place for the different communities in the region.

Lastly, our own website won Gold in the Professional Services category. oxd.com was launched as part of our rebranding from OpenRoad to OXD. This fresh look and feel articulates the evolution of our company over the course of two decades. New technologies, new methods, new opportunities are brought to life through shapes, colours, motion, and flat modernity.

Other dotCOMM Awards winners include Deloitte, Fender, Harvard, and No Kid Hungry.
