Gordon Ross launches Design for Policy reading list

After presenting on the topic at a number of conferences and events over the years, Gordon Ross has created a Design for Policy Reading List. This is a great resource for policy professionals and designers alike. Gordon shares readings and resources that look at how policy is made, how government services are delivered, and how design methods can improve public outcomes.

This reading list takes the form of a semi-regular email. Each issue will have a theme and include relevant readings as well as summary and analysis from Gordon. Subscribers can expect interesting, longer-form articles on innovation, policy, and design.

Gordon has spoken at conferences including Service Design in Government, Converge, InFlux, SXSW, Digital Strategy Vancouver, LegalIT, and Enterprise 2.0. He has also lectured at Simon Fraser University, the University of British Columbia, and the British Columbia Institute of Technology. This year he has presented on transit and design and public sector innovation at SPUR’s Transit + Design event and ReMix a conference for senior executives and leaders in government.

In the first issue Gordon offers an introduction to design for policy, sharing insights on innovation, putting theory into practice, and the UK Policy Lab.
