Virtual Heart awarded $1.0M grant

Chronic heart failure and web applications might seem like odd bedfellows, but since 2005 we've been working with the St Pauls Hospital Heart Function Clinic and their research into how chronic disease patients can improve their health through using a web-based application, the Virtual Heart system.

That research, lead by SFU prof and Providence Health Care researcher Dr. Scott Lear just received a $1.0M grant to expand the study.

Now on its 3rd version, we continue to work with St. Pauls on extending the functionality and rolling the application out across the province to remote, rural patients.

Congrats to Dr. Lear and the Heart Function Clinic team!
