Courthouse Libraries BC (CLBC) is a non-profit foundation that funds legal projects and programs that benefit the British Columbia public and the Law Society of BC. As as a long-term client and partner of OpenRoad, CLBC came to us wanting to improve the experience of the lawyers and community members using their site. The OpenRoad team redesigned the homepage, header, footer, and search experience. We also conducted a thorough review of the existing templates and widgets, then re-platformed it using Drupal. We vastly improved the robustness of the search results logic, redesigned the advanced search, and separated it from the existing search to make the results more scannable for those seeking legal information. This updated site is easier to navigate and offers an improved mobile experience thanks to mobile support that ensures it works on any device used.
