The PLEI Portal project features the development of Clicklaw, a site that aims to be a unified point of access on the Internet to diverse sources of legal information, education and help in British Columbia. The project is sponsored by the PLEI Network, is funded by the Law Foundation of BC, and is being led by the BC Courthouse Library.
OpenRoad has been selected to help lead the design and development of Clicklaw, a legal portal providing the public with access to a wide range of legal information and education in BC. OpenRoad has partnered with Karo Design Group to lead the PLEI network members through a user-centred design process, facilitating usability testing, the creation of personas, and providing information design services. As Clicklaw moves into the development phase in late 2008, OpenRoad continues to work with BCCLS staff on technology recommendations and platform selection. Look for a Clicklaw portal launch in early 2009.
