OpenRoad delivers Open Source CMS for NetEffects

Like many organizations, St. Louis IT staffing firm NetEffects had built a website in the mid 1990's, using static HTML and a simple information architecture. As the organization grew in size, the site grew with it. Content was created and contributed to the site by various staff members and published on an ad-hoc basis.

By 2005, NetEffects had determined that their current website was not sustainable and nor was it helping their customers or partners. OpenRoad partnered with OneIntranets for graphic design and information architecture services, implementing the open source CMS Plone to solve NetEffects content management problems. Plone allowed for a structured and permissions-based content publishing process. NetEffects staff were able to contribute to the public website, as well as Extranet and Intranet sites also powered by Plone.
