OpenRoad VP Gordon Ross and Mountain Equipment Co-op Web Marketing Manager George Weetman headlined the BCAMA Speakers Series on November 24, 2010 with their talk on redesigning Mountain Equipment Co-op's e-commerce website.
Entitled "Please don't change! Redesigning MEC.ca and keeping the customer at the centre of your website redesign" Gord and George discussed the many trials and tribulations associated with large scale website redesigns.
About the talk
Mountain Equipment Co-op has been a leader in providing great gear, clothing and services to its over 3 million members for nearly 40 years. MEC recently undertook an ambitious website redesign project, even though its current website had strong customer satisfaction scores, there was no major brand updates driving a need to change and the industry trend was moving away from “the major redesign” towards small optimizations. Learn why MEC chose to redesign its site, how they managed the redesign process and how the site has performed following the re-launch. Join MEC’s Web Marketing Manager George Weetman and OpenRoad’s Vice President Gordon Ross for this breakfast presentation.
