OpenRoad expands team

OpenRoad is pleased to announce the arrival of four new professionals. Bryan Robertson (Senior Analyst), Mona Mok (Project Coordinator), Stephen Calvert (Web Developer), and Bill Stilwell (Web Developer) have officially joined the OpenRoad team.

Bryan Robertson has over 10 years of internet industry design and management skills, including a tenure as the Executive Producer of myTELUS.com, one of Western Canada's most trafficked portals. There he championed the use of user-centred design techniques and usability testing, and managed partner relationships from Canadian Press to Yahoo! Bryan brings to OpenRoad his substantial expertise in the management of complex content aggregation websites and the use of web analytics to drive website improvement. Bryan's thoughtful approach and eye for detail make him invaluable at translating web strategy into tactics.

Mona Mok has many years of project management experience including large scale software upgrades for the police community, migrating departments onto a document management system, coordinating the upgrade of a security access control system, managing large online advertising campaigns, and organizing out-of-town annual general meetings for a non-profit agency. Prior to joining OpenRoad, Mona worked at E-Comm 911, TMP Worldwide, Vancouver Port Authority, and CBC Radio 3.

Steve Calvert is a Software Developer with extensive experience in architecting, developing, and supporting solutions built around Microsoft's .NET Framework. He has a proven track record of successful projects, combining his expertise in front and back-end development. Prior to OpenRoad, Steve worked as Lead Software Engineer at Veratta Technologies, and a Quality Assurance Analyst at Vision Critical Communications.

Bill Stilwell is a Software Developer with extensive experience in LAMP and Java development and support for high traffic and enterprise web sites. In his previous position as a Senior Developer at TELUS, Bill's roles included Lead Architect and developer for myTELUS.com, and lead developer for the telus.com client portal.

"We've added four great assets to the team in a competitive market for talent," said Darren Gibbons, OpenRoad President. "It's great having Bryan, Mona, Steve, and Bill on board and I'm excited about the value they add to our team."
