In September 2006, Hip Digital launched an online music download service for Nissan’s Live Versa marketing campaign. Liveversa.ca is an online community that supports an adventure reality show where contestants travel cross country competing to win a brand new Nissan Versa. Visitors to the site, who register to win a brand new Nissan Versa, automatically receive a free music download.
OpenRoad developed the music delivery technology for the Live Versa campaign, allowing Hip Digital to provide pre-selected tracks to Nissan for distribution on liveversa.ca. The custom solution supports the integration of track previews and downloads accessed directly from liveversa.ca.
This service was built on top of the OpenRoad-developed Hip Digital platform, using Microsoft .NET, MP3 and WMA technology.
