As a Software Developer at OXD, Gerrit supports solving complex problems with an open mind. He champions technical decisions that help implement elegant solutions. Gerrit brings over 12 years of experience as a full-stack developer fluent in C# as well as MS SQL Server, Angular, ElasticSearch, Ionic Framework, Bootstrap Framework, ASP.Net, .Net Core, Firebase, JavaScript, and MVC to the professional services team. 

Gerrit completed both his Software Development diploma and Advanced International diploma at Computer Training Institute (CTI) in South Africa.

Before joining OXD, Gerrit served as team lead in the development and integration of new applications for the third largest medical aid company in South Africa. During the last two years at his previous company, he managed projects and ran the Canadian branch. He has contributed to a variety of projects including Facebook apps, mobile apps, content management systems (CMS) platforms like Sitefinity and Kentico, and third party integrations for Garmin and Fitbit.

Gerrit loves all things outdoors including hiking, kayaking, snowboarding, mountain biking, and getting his hands dirty in the garden. He likes to stay active by doing CrossFit and taking his three dogs for walks.
